In our Sunday Traditional Worship services at 11:00am in the historic Sanctuary Building, there are many ways to be involved as a leader to contribute to our praise and worship of God! Here’s a list of our current opportunities to get involved:
Worship Assistant – Someone who assists in the leading of worship through reading the lessons, prayers, and helping with the Eucharist Meal. Worship Assistants serve about once every 6-8 weeks as part of a rotation of a group of people. If you would like to help with this ministry, please email Courtney Mellecker to learn more.
- Usher – Someone who helps to greet people when they arrive for worship, assist members and guests with individual needs during the service, collect the offering, and assist with directing people for Communion. Ushers serve about once every 6-8 weeks as part of a rotation of a group of people. If you would like to help with this ministry, please email John Musachio to learn more.
- Altar Guild – Someone who helps to tend to the preparation and clean-up of the altar and chancel spaces for our Traditional Worship services. Often setup happens on Friday or Saturday, and clean-up occurs immediately after worship is completed. Altar Guild members serve for 2-4 services in a row, a couple of times a year as able. If you would like to help with this ministry, please email Barbara Doughterty to learn more.
- Resetting of Worship Space – Someone who between worship services each week, straightens-up and restocks the hymnals, pew racks, and Connection Books throughout the space. This role takes about 1 hour per week anytime during the week, and is needed once every 4-6 weeks as part of a rotation of people. If you would like to help with this ministry, please email Pastor Ed to learn more.
