Learning to use Zoom to connect with one another is an important tool this day and age, and the way many of our gatherings at St. Paul’s will happen and be supported. Click here for an info and etiquette/best practices sheet if this is a new technology for you. A couple of notes to be able to connect:
- Connecting by Computer: If you have a computer with a webcam, this is one of the easiest ways to connect. Go to the Zoom website, download and install the program for your machine (look for the first option listed there), and when it’s time for the meeting you can either click on the link below, or open the program and enter the 9-digit meeting ID number, and then the meeting-specific password.
- Connecting by Tablet/Smart Phone: If you have a tablet or smart phone, you can connect by video too! Got to the app store for your provider (Apple/Android), search for the Zoom app, and install it. When it’s time for the meeting, open the app and enter the 9-digit meeting ID number, and then the meeting-specific password. It’s ideal if you’re using this option to have a pair of headphones or earbuds to help you hear better, but it’s not required.
- Connecting by Phone (voice): Dial the phone number below, and enter the 9-digit meeting ID number, and then the meeting-specific password. when prompted to do so.
Using one of the video options is ideal as you’ll be able to see one another, and it’s a better meeting experience. If you’d like to practice in advance, or have help you talk through how to get setup, please be in touch with Pastor Ed. Additionally, here’s a quick tutorial video for getting connected if that’s also helpful to you.
